THE BOUDOIR SCHOOL IN LEICESTER

What a wonderful day we had yesterday. A full day BOUDOIR SCHOOL workshop held in the wonderful surroundings of Maz Mashru’s studio in the heart of Leicester. We drove down on Sunday afternoon to be ready for an early start on Monday morning. 8 keen and enthusiastic delegates spent the morning listening to the business of boudoir, marketing and promotions etc. Followed by a wonderful, sumptuous lunch organised by Maz’s wife Rekha and daughter Rita to who we thank. (especially for the doggy bag)

In the afternoon we had the wonderful Christiane come up from Taunton to model for us. We used Maz’s studio for the first part of the afternoon, low key with the fresnel Bowens spot followed by a more high key bed set so delegates could see how simple and easy these sets are to construct. Then Maz surprised us with his new studio further down the road about which all I will say is WOW!  Clean white space and any photographers dream studio. Faye and I will be back very soon to do a shoot with Maz and Christiane and some latex so keep watching the journal for updates.

The day ended with Faye doing a demo on postproduction, we brought down one of our 30” Apple monitors  to show delegates how we use the new Kubota Dashboard. Never enough time but gasps when Faye showed how we use liquify on hair! I think we will have 8 delegates spending a lot of time on PS with Kubota!

The day ended around 5.30pm and 8 happy delegates left with buzzing heads full of ideas from magazine competitions to TK Max from cards full of some exciting images to how to use the liqufy tool. Another successful BOUDOIR SCHOOL workshop.

2 images of Faye’s that she has worked on from yesterday. More from me tomorrow.
